The Krispy Kreme story began in 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In December it reaches Tallinn, on Viru väljak.
A secret recipe
In 1937 Vernon Rudolph bought a secret recipe for yeast-raised doughnuts. That same year he started selling the doughnut in Winston-Salem that we still know as the Original Glazed®.
When the light is on
The Hot Now light is worth looking out for. When it is on, doughnuts are coming off the line right now and are still warm.
The doughnut theatre
In a Krispy Kreme shop you can watch the doughnuts being made. Behind the glass they pass one by one through a curtain of glaze.
